AOT PunicActive, Organic

We work with organic pomegranate growers. The fruits are cultivated for juice production, and the seeds are then collected. This active ingredient is derived from a by-product and is therefore upcycled.
The seeds are pressed under optimal conditions and then processed through distillation – an environmentally friendly and sustainable process.
It can be stored for up to 12 months. Our AOT PunicActive, organic, is COSMOS certified.

AOT PunicActive primarily contains punicic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid that helps reduce oxidative stress and inflammation by increasing the expression of PPAR receptors. As a result, it provides anti-inflammatory benefits and protects the skin from UV-induced damage.

Gamma-sitosterol offers skin-soothing and anti-aging properties and may also help protect the skin from UV damage.
Gamma-tocopherol, a form of vitamin E, has anti-inflammatory effects and acts as a free radical scavenger.

The product is best incorporated into the oil phase of a formulation. It is heat-stable and can be heated up to 80 °C without issue. However, for optimal results, it is recommended to add it when the temperature begins to cool down slightly.

The recommended usage level is between 1 and 2%.
Thanks to its liquid texture, the product is particularly easy and convenient to work with.
