Cashew kernel oil, organic

Product-Description of Cashew kernel oil, organic

Our odourless refined organic cashew nut oil shows a particularly high oxidation stability. It is even more stable than cold-pressed almond oil. More about the oxidation stability of our organic cashew nut oil.

The cashew tree Anacardium occidentale originally comes from South America and belongs to the sumac family. Since its discovery by the Portuguese in Brazil in the 16th century, the plant has also become native to the tropical zones of Africa and Asia. Cashew trees are valued for their fruits and seeds, and at the same time they protect the soil from wind and erosion.
The cashew is the kernel of a stone fruit. Its shape is reminiscent of a kidney, which is why the cashew tree is also colloquially called the kidney tree. Cashews are the stars of the food shelf. The superfood has conquered the world as nerve food, protein- and mineral-rich flour or delicious mush.

The yellowish organic cashew nut oil with natural cloudiness has a high content of oleic acid and essential amino acids. It is produced by CO2 extraction and has its typical smell and taste. Our cashew nut oil is BIO and KOSHER certified. It can be stored for at least 18 months. We also offer it in a gently refined quality.

Application food supplements of Cashew kernel oil, organic

For our Cashew Kernel Oil, organic, high-quality cashew nuts are degreased by CO2 extraction. The mild Cashew Kernel Oil organic is perfect for refining raw vegetables, salads and exotic dishes. Desserts are flavoured with a special note due to the slightly nutty taste.

Selected organic projects

Sustainability plays a crucial role for AOT. From the very beginning, we have focused on organic farming. It protects the climate, ensures soil fertility and protects the environment. Synthetic fertilisers and pesticides are not used.

Of course, the cashew trees of our supplier in Burkina Faso are farmed organically. The trees not only strengthen the income of the local farmers and prevent rural exodus, but also provide wind and erosion protection for the soil.
