Almond oil, organic

The mild Almond Oil organic is light yellow and has a delicate nutty scent. It is gently cold pressed from sweet almonds. Almond oil contains mostly oleic acid as well as palmitic acid and linoleic acid. Our Almond Oil is ORGANIC, COSMOS and KOSHER certified as well as NATRUE conform, it can be stored for at least 18 months. We also offer Almond oil in Demeter quality.

Almond Oil organic is considered a classic not only in natural cosmetics or baby care. It has also been one of the most important vegetable oils in our oil range since the company was founded. The excellent quality of our almond oil is also due to our many years of experience with this oil.
We obtain the almonds from a supplier in Spain who we work on a close basis with. The sweet almonds come from controlled organic cultivation and are also used for the production of food. Synthetic pesticides, insect repellents or storage protection agents are not allowed to be used. You can read more about our supplier here.

The sweet almonds Prunus Dulcis are stone fruits that belong to the rose family. Originally from Asia they are now grown mainly in California, China and to a lesser extent in Mediterranean countries. The pink almond flowering in spring opens the annual cycle, and the almonds ripen during the hot summer months. After harvest in autumn, the almonds are cracked and the kernels sorted, cleaned and blanched.
The almonds which contain about 50% of fatty oil are then cold pressed in Germany. From the press cake we produce our high-quality almond protein. The gentle cold pressing process ensures that the valuable ingredients of the oil are preserved. Constant sensory and ingredient controls guarantee the genuine quality of our organic Almond Oil.

Almond Oil is characterized by its very high content of oleic acid. Thanks to this omega-9 fatty acid, the oil is absorbed deep into the skin and has a nourishing and protective effect. Active ingredients can thus pass through the horny layer (stratum corneum) more easily and be transported into the skin. In addition almond oil offers antioxidant alpha-tocopherol, which protects the skin from free radicals.

The mild Almond Oil organic is suitable for all skin types due to its nourishing properties and high compatibility. It protects the skin from drying out and preserves moisture. Sensitive skin is soothed, redness is reduced and regeneration is supported.  Thanks to the high content of oleic acid, the skin feels soft and supple. Almond Oil organic is used in a variety of care products, it is also a perfect base oil for aromatherapy massages.

Product ideas
The combination of Almond Oil containing oleic acid and Rosehip Kernel Oil containing linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid results in a beauty oil for more glow.

In an anti-red face care, almond oil can be combined with Evening Primrose Oil or Borage Seed Oil.

For a nourishing hair oil, almond oil can be complemented with Castor Oil.

Our Calendula Oil is based on almond oil and goes well with baby care oils or mild wound protection creams.

Sustainability plays a crucial role for AOT. From the very beginning, we have focused on organic farming. It protects the climate, ensures soil fertility and protects the environment. Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are not used. It goes without saying that the almond trees of our suppliers are cultivated in a controlled organic manner.
We obtain the sweet almonds for our almond oil exclusively from Europe. This avoids long transport routes from the USA and reduces the CO₂ footprint.
