Hemp (Cannabis sativa) is one of the oldest useful plants on earth and probably originated in Central Asia. Today, hemp grows worldwide in temperate to tropical zones. The various parts of the plant are used, for example, to produce fibers for textiles, materials for the automotive industry and hemp proteins, fatty oil or plant extracts. Almost all parts of the hemp plant can be used.
We have already started our partner project with hemp grower ExtraVit s.r.o. and our long-term extraction partner Nateco² in fall 2019. For this purpose, EU-compliant cultivars of hemp plants are grown on certified organic plantations in Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia. They are planted in spring and harvested in late summer. Especially the female hybrids contain a high amount of natural CBD. The organic hemp plants are grown according to the GACP (Good Agricultural And Collection Practice) guidelines.
Our broad spectrum extract is gently extracted from the dried stems, leaves, seeds and flowers of the hemp plants with the addition of organic MCT oil with CO₂. In smaller proportions, besides cannabidiol (CBD), cannabiodiolic acid (CBDA) and cannabigerol (CBG) are also included. THC or chlorophyll are removed after extraction. Then the extract is dissolved in jojoba oil in various concentrations.
Our CBD oils are BIO, COSMOS and NATRUE certified and can be stored for at least 18 months.
We also offer hemp leaf macerate, organic.

The cannabinoid CBD is a naturally occurring active ingredient in hemp plants. Studies have shown that cannabinoids can reduce sebum production and have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Herbal CBD can bind to the body's endocannabinoid system and rebalance the skin.

In the USA, hemp and CBD cosmetics are booming, and the trend has continued to grow in recent years. In Europe, too, market research institutes and beauty analysts estimate the potential for cosmetics with cannabidiol to be high. CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of the most important, non-psychoactive cannabinoids in hemp. The active ingredient from the hemp plant is not only sustainable, but also ideal for irritated and stressed skin.
Safety is our top priority: the ECJ ruling of November 19, 2020 confirmed that CBD is not a narcotic. In addition, DG GROW (CosIng) has approved Cannabidiol or Cannabis Sativa Leaf Extract for the entire hemp plant, i.e. stem, leaf and flower.
We offer three CBD oils in different concentrations for use in cosmetics. Of course, they do not contain any intoxicating tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the value is below the legally permitted limit and is strictly controlled. The typical and slightly grassy scent of our golden yellow CBD oils fades quickly.
Cosmetic products with CBD are especially suitable for irritated and stressed skin. They can also be used for skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis or acne. The active ingredient CBD fits into the beauty categories 'de-stress' or 'neurocosmetics' as well as the trend 'slow beauty', which stands for more mindfulness in dealing with cosmetics.

Blemished and combination skin benefits from the sebum-regulating effect of CBD Oil Gold 10% and can be supplemented, for example, with grape seed oil, organic for a pore care skin care line.
For a high quality and neurocosmetic de-stress face care, the CBD Oil Gold 20% can be combined with the skin barrier promoting Wheat Germ Oil, organic.

As application concentrations we recommend:

CBD Oil Gold 20%  ⇒ 0.05 - 0.25 % for skin & facial care products.

Sustainability plays a crucial role for AOT. From the very beginning, we have focused on organic farming. It protects the climate, ensures soil fertility and protects the environment. Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are not used.

Of course, the hemp plants of our supplier are grown in a controlled organic way. Hemp plants are robust and do not require herbicides during cultivation. They are also considered soil improvers and promote a beneficial carbon footprint when grown organically out in the field.
