Cashew kernel oil, organic

Product-Description of Cashew kernel oil, organic

Our odourless refined organic cashew seed oil shows a particularly high stability. It is even more stable than cold-pressed almond oil, which is one of the most stable oils in cosmetics after jojoba oil. More about the oxidation stability of our organic cashew nut oil.
The cashew tree Anacardium occidentale originally comes from South America and belongs to the sumac family. Since its discovery in Brazil by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the plant has also become native to the tropical zones of Africa and Asia. Cashew trees are valued for their fruits and seeds, and at the same time they protect the soil from wind and erosion.
The cashew is the kernel of a stone fruit. Its shape is reminiscent of a kidney, which is why the cashew tree is also colloquially called the kidney tree. Cashews are the stars of the food shelf. The superfood has conquered the world as a nerve food, protein- and mineral-rich flour or delicious mush. Cashews can also be used to produce a high-quality oil: A novelty on the cosmetics market - and at the same time an upcycled raw material from holistic production.

Our cashew seed oil, organic has a yellowish colour and smells slightly nutty and green. It is BIO, COSMOS and KOSHER certified, as well as NATRUE compliant. It can be stored for at least 18 months. We also offer it in a gently refined quality.

Focus on ingredients of Cashew kernel oil, organic

Our organic cashew seed oil has a high content of oleic acid and linoleic acid. While the oleic acid provides a soft skin feeling and promotes the absorption of lipophilic active ingredients in the skin, the linoleic acid, which is absorbed more quickly into the skin, strengthens the skin barrier and reduces moisture loss at the same time.

Proven efficacy
Cashew nut oil has a nourishing effect and supports the skin barrier with its specific fatty acid spectrum. We would be happy to inform you about the cosmetic effect of cashew nut oil, organic. Click here for our contact information.

Application cosmetics of Cashew kernel oil, organic

Cashew nut oil has a nourishing and nurturing effect, it increases the elasticity of the skin. As it is absorbed slowly but deeply into the skin, it is ideal for massage oils as well as for Ayurvedic and aromatherapeutic applications and body oils.
In facial care, cashew seed oil creates a soft and nourished skin feeling, the skin barrier is strengthened. The oil is especially recommended for dry, lipid-poor and mature skin. Modern versions of cold creams, which protect the skin from the cold in winter, also benefit from the nourishing properties of cashew nut oil. As a carrier oil, it also helps to deliver active ingredients to the skin.
Traditionally, cashew kernel oil is used to care for dry, brittle and curly hair.
Thanks to the exceptionally high durability of cashew seed oil, more oxidatively sensitive active ingredient oils can be stabilised in a mixture with the oil.

Selected organic projects

Sustainability plays a crucial role for AOT. From the very beginning, we have focused on organic farming. It protects the climate, ensures soil fertility and protects the environment. Synthetic fertilisers and pesticides are not used.

Of course, the cashew trees of our supplier in Burkina Faso are farmed organically. The trees not only strengthen the income of the local farmers and prevent rural exodus, but also provide wind and erosion protection for the soil.

We are committed to ensuring that resources are not wasted: We produce both cashew kernel oil and cashew flour from cashew kernels.
